What personal data we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect the details you type into the form: your name, organisation, telephone number, email address, the property or event details relevant to your enquiry, any photographs you upload, and your contact preference.

Why we collect it

We use these details solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and where you go ahead, deliver the service. We do not sell personal data and we do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing.

How enquiries are handled

Enquiries are stored in this website’s database and a notification is sent to our enquiries address. Access is restricted to Onyxtris staff who need it in order to respond.

Measuring how the site is used

We keep a simple record of pages visited so we can see which services people are looking for. For each page view we store the page address, the site you arrived from, whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer, and a one-way code derived from part of your network address. Your address is shortened before that code is made, so it identifies a rough network rather than a person or a household.

This is our own measurement, running on the same server as the website. No cookies are set for it, nothing is shared with an analytics company, and there is no way to work backwards from what we store to you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding which of our services people need.

Data retention

Enquiries that do not lead to work are removed once they are no longer needed. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for as long as we are required to keep them for accounting, contractual and insurance purposes. Page-visit records are deleted automatically after 400 days.

Third-party providers

This site is hosted by our hosting provider, and enquiry notifications are delivered by our email provider. Those providers process data on our instructions only.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details on the contact page and we will respond.
